Questions About Our Calgary Clinic
Everything you need to know before your first visit — from direct billing and booking to choosing the right treatment.
Your first visit begins with a short intake consultation where your practitioner learns about your goals, health history, and any areas of concern. The treatment is then tailored to you specifically — pressure, technique, and focus areas. Arrive 5–10 minutes early and wear comfortable clothing.

Massage therapy is best for muscle tension, physical recovery, and stress relief through direct bodywork. Acupuncture works well for systemic issues — chronic pain, migraines, sleep, hormonal balance, and conditions that haven’t responded to massage alone. Many clients combine both. If you’re unsure, our team will guide you during your consultation.
Acupuncture is very safe when performed by a registered practitioner. The needles are hair-thin — most clients feel little to no discomfort. You may feel a brief dull ache or tingling at the insertion point, which typically passes within seconds. Dr. Ha adjusts needle depth and placement based on your comfort.
Yes — we offer direct billing to most major insurance providers including Sun Life, Manulife, Blue Cross, Great-West Life, and others. Bring your benefits card and we handle the paperwork. You only pay any remaining balance after the insurer’s portion.
Massage therapy provided by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is covered under most extended health benefit plans in Alberta. Acupuncture is also covered by many plans. Check your plan’s annual maximums before your first visit.
